Ethics & Safety Policy

At our tantric yoga studio, creating a respectful, secure, and fully consensual environment is our highest priority. This page outlines our core guidelines around clothing optional practice, eye contact, non-touch principles, and mat-defined personal space.

1. Consent & Personal Boundaries

Every participant’s comfort and autonomy are central. Before engaging in any exercise:

  • Clearly state your personal comfort levels.
  • Honor verbal and nonverbal cues from others.
  • Understand that any boundary can be revised at any time.
  • Reach out to staff immediately if you feel uncertain.

2. Clothing Optional Practice

We invite you to choose the level of dress that feels right for you. This approach:

  • Fosters deeper self-acceptance and body awareness.
  • Is never pressured—your choice is fully respected.
  • Requires mutual respect; comments or judgments about attire (or lack thereof) are not tolerated.

3. Guided Eye Contact

Intentional eye contact can be a powerful tool for presence. Our guidelines:

  • Use soft, compassionate gazes—avoid staring.
  • If sustained eye contact feels uncomfortable, gently close your eyes or look away.
  • Instructors will model timing and pace; follow your own comfort rhythm.

4. Non-Touch Policy

All alignment, adjustments, and supportive guidance happen verbally or through demonstration. This means:

  • Instructors do not physically touch participants.
  • Participants refrain from touching each other.
  • Props and mirrors support self-adjustment.

5. Mat-Defined Boundaries

Your yoga mat is your personal sanctuary. To maintain clear, respectful space:

  • Stay within the edges of your own mat.
  • Do not step onto or lean over another person’s mat.
  • Use mat placement as a guide for social distancing and movement flow.

6. Reporting Concerns & Seeking Support

Your safety and well-being matter. If you ever feel uncomfortable or witness a breach of these policies:

  1. Speak directly with any instructor before, during, or after class.
  2. Email our studio director at ethics@basstempleyoga.com.
  3. Call our confidential support line at +49 69 9876 5432.

We will address all reports promptly and with full discretion.

Thank you for joining us in upholding a space of trust, respect, and deep exploration.
